ABVP, NSUI announce candidates for Delhi University student polls

The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Congress, also announced its candidates.

Ahead of the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) polls on September 11, the two contending students’ groups announced their final list of candidates on Friday.

Right-wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is fielding Satinder Awana, an MA Buddhist Studies student, for the president’s post. Sunny Dedha, pursuing Law, has been fielded for the vice-president’s post. For the secretary’s post, the party has picked Anjali Rana. Chattar Pal Yadav has been picked for the joint-secretary post.

The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Congress, also announced its candidates.

Pradeep Vijayaryan, an LLB final year student, has been declared the presidential candidate. Prerna Singh, a first year Political Science (Honours) student, is the vice-president candidate. Amit Sehrawat is the party’s candidate for the post of secretary, while Deepak Chaudhary, will be contesting for the post of joint-secretary.
