A 42-year-old woman, a senior employee of a multinational company, was found dead at her residence in Noida’s Sector 34 late Saturday.
Noida Police suspect she might have been murdered, as her mobile phone and laptop were missing. Police did not find a suicide note either.
The woman has been identified as Archana Singh. She lived in Udaygiri Apartments in Sector 34. Neighbours told The Indian Express that she lived alone in the second-floor flat while her family lives in Nagpur.
According to police, the incident came to light after the Archana’s family informed police at about midnight Saturday that they had found her body.

Police said Archana had reached home at about 7.30 pm, as shown in the CCTV footage recovered from the housing society.
Police officers and neighbours said Saturday night, Singh was supposed to visit her uncle who lives in Noida Sector 61.
Her uncle and her mother could not reach her despite repeated attempts, as her phone was not reachable.
Following this, her uncle and cousin went to her flat around 11 pm only to find the main door bolted from outside.
“They called the guard to open the door to the flat. They found her body on the floor in one of the rooms. She had been covered with a bedsheet and there was blood on her face,” said a neighbour.
“She was last seen at the apartment complex at 7.35 pm. She had recently been promoted to the position of a senior manager at Honda Siel. She had left from her office in Greater Noida at 5.45 pm. Her body has been sent for autopsy. It is too early to say whether she was murdered or if there is another angle to her death. On the basis of the autopsy report, a case will be registered,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Anoop Kumar.
Alleging the possible involvement of her driver, Animesh, Archana’s neighbour said, “In April, she received an appraisal at work and she was also given a car from the company along with a driver. He used to take her to office and drop her back home. But the driver was fired and a new one was hired a couple of days ago.”
Noida police said they were questioning her driver. “We have brought him to the police station for questioning but it is too early to say anything,” said Kumar.
