3 of family killed,3 injured in Northwest Delhi accident

Three members of a family were killed and three others critically injured early on Wednesday,when their car rammed a stationary truck in Northwest Delhi.

Three members of a family were killed and three others critically injured early on Wednesday ,when their car rammed a stationary truck in Northwest Delhi.

The incident was reported from Swaroop Nagar,when the family was returning from Chandigarh. They were on their way to Faridabad.

“They were in their Hyundai Verna,being driven by Roshan (50). Around 5 am,on National Highway-1,their car rammed a stationary truck,” a senior police officer said.

The impact of the collision was powerful,police said. Family members were rushed to a nearby hospital,where Pushpa (70),her daughter Ruchi (45),and grandson Vedant were declared dead on arrival. Ruchi’s husband,Roshan was critically injured while her sister,Reena (20) and another relative Aryan (10),sustained severe injuries.

Police have impounded the truck and detained the driver

In another incident,a 40-year old man was killed in an accident with a dumper on Wednesday evening. The incident was reported from South Extension in South Delhi,around 6 pm. “The victim was in a Wagon R,when the accident took place. The dumper had broken down and was parked on the road,” police said. The man sustained serious injuries and succumbed to them later.
