A 13-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by three persons, two of whom are minors, in the Badalpur area of Greater Noida on Monday evening, police said.

Senior police officers said the accused, one 19-year-old and two 14-year-olds, have been apprehended, based on the girl’s complaint.

“The victim had reportedly gone to a market near Girdhar Colony around 9 pm on Monday evening to fix her sister’s slippers. On her way home, the three boys, who were on a bike, accosted her and forcibly took her to a secluded spot, where they allegedly raped her.

She managed to make her way home and told her family about the incident, who then reported the matter to police. An FIR has been registered in the case and investigations are underway,” Brijesh Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, said.

Police said the victim has been sent for a medical examination.

“There is anger among the locals over the incident and we have assured them of a thorough investigation. We are awaiting the medical examination report,” a senior police officer said.

In another incident of alleged gangrape, a woman has alleged that three men, who had a disagreement with her husband, held her family members hostage at gunpoint and gangraped her in the Rabupura area of Greater Noida.

“The incident, according to the complaint, took place on Monday night after an altercation between her husband and the accused. Later that night, they entered her home and allegedly raped her at gunpoint. We have registered a case under appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code and will soon arrest the accused. A medical examination has been sought,” a police officer said.
