Punjab: Day after clash in Kharar, one rounded up

A case of attempt to murder have been lodged against unknown people.

A day after the clash took place between two groups in Kharar near Shivalik City, police rounded up a person on Monday night after the incident. The other accused including one Baba and his rival Billa are still are at large, police said.

Kharar (city) SHO Rajesh Hastir told Chandigarh Newsline that they identified one person as Ajay Bhardwaj who is a native of Rohtak and was presently living in Sector 20, Chandigarh. The SHO added that Bhardwaj along with some of his friends came in a Hyundai i-20 car.

“Bhardwaj came to help his friends. He was rounded up on Monday night and we are raiding some hideouts of Billa and Baba in connection with the incident. We will soon arrest the people who were involved in the brawl which took place on Monday evening,” Hastir said. The SHO, however, denied that bullets were shot during the clash.

Police also seized a Hyundai i-20 car and two bikes which were used in the crime. A case of attempt to murder have been lodged against unknown people.
