Youth held for duping man with false promise of job in multinational

Police have arrested a youth who was working with a pharmaceutical company for duping one person on the promise of providing him a job in a multinational company.

Police have arrested a youth who was working with a pharmaceutical company for duping one person on the promise of providing him a job in a multinational company.

A case has been registered against one Anil Kumar,a resident of Yamunanagar,for duping an engineer Suransh Sharma with the promise of providing him the job in a multinational company.

According to police,Suransh Sharma complained that he provided a laptop and Rs 35,000 to Anil Kumar after he had promised him that he will help him provide the job in a private company but later he failed to comply with his promise.

Sharma reported to the police that he got acquainted with the accused through one of his relatives and subsequently they struck an agreement that he will come from Yamunanagar to Panchkula to deliver him the money to get him the job. Though the money and a laptop was given to the accused,he could not give him the job.

A case of cheating was registered at the Sector 5 police station.

According to police officials they have taken a two-days remand of the accused to make the recovery of the laptop and money.

“We are also investigating about whether the youth who has been arrested also duped some other people after giving them false promises of providing them jobs,” said a police official.
