Two suicides reported in 24 hours in city

A 25-year-old youth committed suicide at a Sector-27 park by shooting at his chest with a country-made pistol.

A 25-year-old youth committed suicide at a Sector-27 park by shooting at his chest with a country-made pistol. The body of Nidhish Sharma,resident of Sector 43,was found in the park on Saturday morning. A suicide note and the gun used to commit suicide was also recovered from the spot.

Sharma was an MBA student and was preparing for IAS examination. He reportedly had a strained relationship with his mother and sister. On Friday,he left home after an altercation with his mother. The suicide note recovered from the spot mentioned that his body should not be handed over to the family and his belongings should be given to his friends. The police informed the family members and have begun investigation.

In another incident,a 17-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself with a nylon rope at his residence in Sector 52 on Saturday. Rajvir,class VIII student,was alone at his house.

His brother,who saw him hanging in the house when he returned from work,informed the police. The reason for the suicide is yet to be established.

The deceased was living with his brother,while his parents are residents of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.
