Two held for ‘misbehaving’ with cops at Sukhna Lake

Police said that a case has been registered under Sections 332, 353, 186, 34 of IPC at Police Station-3 on the complaint of head constable Lakha Singh.

Two people including a woman were arrested for misbehaving with the cops at Sukhna Lake Friday evening. Police said that one of the accused, under the influence of alcohol, also tore the uniform of a head constable. Police said that a case has been registered under Sections 332, 353, 186, 34 of IPC at Police Station-3 on the complaint of head constable Lakha Singh.

The accused has been identified as Baljinder Singh, a resident of Sector 38, and was accompanied by two more people.

“We have arrested two people for misbehaving with police officials,” said SHO Sector 3 police station Inspector Poonam Dilawari. She said that the accused also indulged in a fight with one vendor at the lake, who also registered a complaint with the police.

“The accused was drunk and tore the uniform of the policeman,” said Dilawari.
