A proposal for two community parking lots would be mooted for Sector 15. The sites were seen today during the inspection of the sector by the area councillor Saurabh Joshi and the officials from different departments of the Municipal Corporation.
Joshi along with the officials of the civic body inspected various parts of the ward to identify the problems that were being faced. Officials from the road wing,horticulture wing as well as the public health departments were present.
The residents raised the demand for setting up of two community parking lots in the sector. While one is being proposed near the community centre,the other has been proposed near Patel Market. The community parking lots would facilitate parking in residential areas.
Joshi also inspected cheap houses. A demand was raised for widening of roads in the area. An agenda for the same is likely to be mooted. The problem of sewerage disposal was highlighted.
Joshi said that the problem of adequate number of sweepers not being present in the area was pointed out. There are a number of demands of the residents that the officials were apprised of as they visited the area. The problem of lack of parking space is one of these. A proposal would be mooted for community parking lots. Two playgrounds would also be developed. An improvement would be brought about in the storm water drains and the sewerage disposal, he said.
Joshi added that the backlanes in the sector would be cleaned. The pruning of trees that is required in the area would be done.
Checks were also conducted at Khuda Lahora where a number of problems were highlighted.
