Tricity witnesses steady dip in day temperature

The maximum temperature in the Tricity has been witnessing a steady decline over the past few days.

The maximum temperature in the Tricity has been witnessing a steady decline over the past few days. The day temperature in Chandigarh was today recorded as 35.1 degrees Celsius,4 below normal. This is a three-degree fall from the maximum temperature recorded on Wednesday.

The temperature had broken records of the past decade as it crossed 45 degrees on May 31. Thereafter,there has been a decline in the day temperature. On Wednesday the maximum temperature was recorded as 38.6 degrees while it was 40.5 degrees on Tuesday and 41.2 degrees on Monday.

The dust storm followed by rain showers had a cooling affect on the weather with the scorching heat witnessing a decline. The Met Department has predicted a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thundery developments in the coming days. The rain showers,in fact,have lowered the temperature throughout the region where the heat had made it difficult for residents to move out.
