The third round of counselling for Class XI admissions in government schools,where over 2,000 seats are still vacant in different streams

The third round of counselling for Class XI admissions in government schools,where over 2,000 seats are still vacant in different streams,will start from August 13.

Students can submit their forms on the same day between 9 am to 1 pm.

In the third round of counselling,students who failed to apply for the admission in any government school will be able to fill the forms.

In case any student wishes to change his/her school or wants to switch his/her stream,they can apply once again on August 13.

Interested candidates can apply on the registration form available in the prospectus,which costs Rs 130,while students who want to change their school or stream can get the application forms free of cost.

The prospectus is available at the following schools,GMSSS-10,GMSSS-28,GMSSS-37D,GMSSS-20B,GMSSS-46 and MHS,

Manimajra.

An official,on Sunday said,“There are approximately 2,500-2,700 seats vacant in government schools. The exact number will be confirmed tomorrow though. The maximum number of seats are vacant in the Humanities stream,where around 200 seats each are vacant in other streams.”

The list of vacant seats and the list of selected students after the third round of counselling (category wise/stream wise) will be displayed on the education department’s website by 12 pm on August 13,while all schools will update the list of vacant seats every Monday.
