Theft at new office of Canadian Consulate in Chandigarh

The police said that investigations are on in the case.

The UT police Saturday registered a case after officials from the Counselor Management Counsel, Canada, reported of theft of 200-metre core wiring from their newly constructed office at Elante Mall. The police said that investigations are on in the case.

According to the police, unknown persons had stolen 200-metre wire related to electrical and mechanical system of the Consulate General of Canada from the data shaft between ground floor and the fourth floor of his office at Elante Mall. “They are constructing a new office at Elante. The present office is in Sector 17,” said an official.
