A Mohali court on Tuesday sent Punjabi singer Preet Brar,nabbed by the Mumbai police while trying to flee the country on August 6,to three days police remand.

Brar,who had been absconding for over a month after he was booked in a case of land fraud,was brought to Mohali on Tuesday morning and produced before Judicial Magistrate Surabhi Prashar,who remanded him to police custody.

Brar and his brother Amritpal were booked by Mohali police on July 29 on charges of cheating,criminal conspiracy and dishonestly inducing delivery of property after three complainants alleged that Brar and Amritpal had sold them land for Rs 51 lakhs.

However,the victims alleged the brothers had neither handed them over the land nor refunded their money.
