Sidhu to head HC Bar body for 5th time

Dr Anmol Rattan Sidhu,senior lawyer,was elected president of the Bar Association of Punjab and Haryana High Court bar.

Dr Anmol Rattan Sidhu,senior lawyer,was elected president of the Bar Association of Punjab and Haryana High Court bar.

Sidhu crushed his opponent,Harpreet Singh Brar,by over 800 votes. Sidhu has earlier remained president of the High Court Bar four times. Iqbal Singh has been elected vice president while Santokhwinder Singh Grewal won the most votes as secretary.

On the other hand,Advocate Ashok Chauhan was elected president of the Bar Association of Chandigarh District Courts. This will be his second term as president. Chauhan defeated Advocate N K Kapil.

Advocate Sunil Kumar has been made the vice president while Baljit Singh Balli got the most votes to become secretary of the District Court Bar.

Pratibha Chauhan has been elected joint secretary of the local Bar Association.
