Shivang fashions St Kabir’s triumph

It was Shivang’s day on Monday. After pitching in with a useful knock of 31 runs,he bowled superbly to scalp five wickets and helped St Kabir School,Sector 32,record a 20run win over GMSSS,Sector 26,in a match played during 2nd Brother McCann cricket tournament for U-14,at St John’s School ground in Chandigarh. St Kabir School were bowled out for 90 runs while batting first. For GMSSS-26,(Annant 4 for 10) and Sahil (3 for 10) were the main wicket takers. In reply,GMSSS-26 were bundled out for 70 runs. Shivang bowled well to take five wickets.

In the quarter-final match played between Manav Mangal Mohali and Mount Carmel,Mount Carmel School carved out an impressive five-wicket win to enter the semifinals stage of the 2nd Brother McCann cricket tournament for U-19. Led by Abhishek’s knock of 65 runs,Manav Mangal School posted 127 runs for the loss of four wickets in 24 overs. In reply,Mount Carmel School chased down the target losing five wickets. St John’s School will take on YPS Mohali in the first semifinal while Mount Carmel School will lock horns with DAV School,Sector 15.
