The last few months have seen CLTA trainee Rishabh Sharda winning matches due to his ability to serve big and smash aces. Monday was not different as the young CLTA trainee trounced his opponent Yuvraj 9-0 in the U-14 boys category to move into the second round in the CLTA-AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament being played at CLTA Courts.
If it was easy going for Sharda,another CLTA trainee Anmol Rattan Kamboj had to fought his way to claim a 9-5 win over Shashikant to advance into the second round while Sehaj Sidhu booked his berth into the second round with a 9-3 win over Udgam Aggarwal.
It was also easy for CLTA trainee Calvin Golmei as he ended the challenge of Air Hiranandani with a 9-3 win while Aditya Vashist too advanced to the second round as he got a walkover from Shreyas Chopra. It was a good day for the CLTA trainees as another CLTA trainee Sabrang Sandal registered a 9-3 win over Dalbir Singh to surge ahead in the championship while CLTA trainee Gaurav Seth had to work hard for a 9-6 win over Sarabjot to advance ahead.
In the girls’ U-14 category,CLTA trainee Nandini made her way into the second round with a 9-5 win over Shamita Yadav while another CLTA trainee Ashpreet Bajwa ended the challenge of Aastha Malhotra with a 9-2 win. It was easy going for CLTA trainee Adity Dogra as he registered an easy 9-1 win over Bindu Kulharia to advance ahead in the championship.
In the boys U-18 category,JajbirSingh stormed into the second round with a 9-2 win over Pranav Suri while Digvijay Pratap made his way into the second round with a 9-5 win over Sultan Atwal. In another match in the same category,Krishna Rajput got past Karthik Sharma with a 9-5 win while Ravinder Singh had to fight his way to register a 9-6 win over Barun Gill to advance into the second round.
