Shanta dares Sonia: Come clean on foreign accounts

Shanta Kumar on Sunday said that the party would raise national issues like stashing of black money abroad,inflation,corruption and advances by neighbouring country China along the territories located on certain border areas in India during the polls.

Daring Congress president Sonia Gandhi to give an affidavit that she or her family members never had an account in any bank abroad,Punjab BJP in-charge of Punjab affairs,Shanta Kumar on Sunday said that the party would raise national issues like stashing of black money abroad,inflation,corruption and advances by neighbouring country China along the territories located on certain border areas in India during the polls.

Labelling UPA government led by Congress as most “inefficient and corrupt” during a press conference,Kumar said that China was setting up a rail link adjoining Arunachal Pradesh and was indulging in activities in Pak occupied Kashmir (PoK) and the border territories.

“China is second biggest power in the world today and in next 10 years it would surpass even United States of America,” Kumar said,raising a question mark over the ability of the UPA in dealing with the probable threats. “The wounds of 1962 are still afresh,” he said,referring to Indo-China war of 1962.

Stating that the BJP has emerged as a disciplined and strong party,unlike Congress,which was grappling with rebellion,He said the party BJP would also seek votes for the development works carried out by the ruling combine in last five years.

On the case against BJP nominee from Amritsar North Anil Joshi after 294 liquor cases were allegedly recovered from his supporter,Kumar said that irrespective of party affiliations,it was “wrong for any candidate to win elections in a wrong manner”.
