Saupin’s carve out impressive win to enter final

Riding high on Swapnil’s all-round performance (46 runs and 2 for 11),Saupin’s School Sector 32,recorded an impressive two-wicket win over St Anne’s School Sector 32,in the semifinal match played during the ongoing U-17 cricket tournament for First GNPS Cup organised by Chandigarh Cricket Academy held at GNPS-36. With this win,Saupin’s School has booked their berth in the final match. Batting first,St Anne’s School posted a total of 108 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Jaideep emerged as the star for St Anne’s School,as he scored 63-ball knock of 64 runs to propel his team. From Saupin’s School,Prithvi Lohtiya and Swapnil bowled well to scalp two wickets each. In reply,Saupin’s School achieved the target in 19.3 overs,losing eight wickets. Swapnil played a superb 30-ball knock of 46 runs to help Saupin’s record triumph.
