Sanjeev Mehan elected CCA (HCA) president

Sanjeev Mehan was unanimously chosen as the president of the organisation while Parveen Sharma was chosen as the senior vice president of the organisation.

Chandigarh Cricket Association (Affiliated to Haryana Cricket Association) conducted its Annual General Meeting on Thursday and elected its office bearers for the Chandigarh Cricket Association for the year 2013-14. Sanjeev Mehan was unanimously chosen as the president of the organisation while Parveen Sharma was chosen as the senior vice president of the organisation.

“We had organised our Annual General Meeting on Thursday and the following members were chosen as members of the committee. Sanjeeb Mehan was chosen as the president of the association while Parveen Sharma was chosen as the senior vice president. Charanpreet Singh was chosen as the vice president of the organisation while Harminder Singh was chosen as the joint secretary. The election were held unanimously,” shared the association’s newly elected general secretary Surinder Singh Baijee while addressing a press conference on Friday.

Adding further,Baijee said the association will organise cricket camps for various age groups and will also organise Inter-District Cricket Tournament and practice matched of 50-overs each and three-day matches for the youngsters. “18 players each in U-14,U-16 and U-19 will be selected after conducting the trials soon. We will be selecting teams for Inter-District competitions and would hold camps for the young players first. Our emphasis would be to groom the young players,” added Baijee.

The trials to select the U-16 players will be held at 2.30 PM on April 7 at Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 19 and players born on or after September 9,1997 are eligible for the trials. The trials for the U-14 category will be held at 2.30 PM on April 9 at Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 19 and players born on or after September 9,1999 are eligible for the trials. The trials for the U-19 category will be held at 2.30 PM on April 11 at Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 19 and players born on or after September 9,1994 are eligible for the trials.
