Ten points by Sachin propelled DAV Model School,Sector 15 to a 12-2 win over Government High School,Sector 25 in the UT Inter-School Basketball Tournament (boys U-17) being played at Sector 46 Sports Complex on Friday.

In another match in the same category,St Stephen’s School,Sector 45 registered a 22-14 win over AKSIPS. For the winning team,Gurkanwar scored ten points while Yudhvir scored eight points. It was an easy day for DAV Senior Secondary School,Sector 8 as they registered a 32-8 win over Mount Carmel School. Sumit was the star of the day for the winning team as he scored 22 points while Manish scored ten points. In another match in the same category,St Joseph School,Sector 44 registered an easy 33-8 win over Delhi Public School,Sector 40. Dikshant and Damosh scored eight points each for the winning team. In the UT Inter-School Volleyball Championship (Boys U-17),St Stephen’s School,Sector 45 scored a 25-23,25-23 win over Government High School,Sector 47.

Kamal adjudged best gymnast

Meanwhile,Kamal Bhatt of GMSSS-23 was adjudged as the best gymnast in artistic category with 40.10 points in the UT Inter-School Gymnastics Championship for boys (U-19) . Sandeep Bisht of GMSSS-10 claimed the second spot with 34.60 points while Varun Kumar of GMSSS-10 got the third spot with 32.60 points. In the pommel horse event,Kamal Bhatt of GMSSS-23 showed his supremacy as he claimed the top spot with 5.30 points. The second spot went to Abhishek of GMSSS-10 with 5.00 points while Varun Sidhu of Stepping Stones School claimed the third spot with 4.20 points.

In the table vault event,Brij Thakur of GMSSS-19 emerged as the champion with 10.90 points while Satyam of GMSSS-19 claimed the second spot with 10.80 points. The third spot went to Kamal Bhatt of GMSSS-23 with 10.30 points. It was joy for Varun Kumar of GMSSS-10 as he claimed the top spot in the parallel bar event with 6.70 points while the second spot went to Kamal Bhatt of GMSSS-23 with 5.50 points. Sandeep Bisht of GMSSS-10 claimed the third spot with 4.20 points.

Kamal Bhatt of GMSSS-23 continued his fine form as he claimed the top spot in the horizontal bar event with 5.10 points while Abhishek of GMSSS-10 got the second spot with 5.00 points. The third spot went to Sandeep Bisht of GMSSS-10 with 4.60 points. Meanwhile,in the UT Inter-School U-14 Football Tournament for girls,Saupin’s School,Sector 32 rallied into the semi-finals with a 1-0 win over GMSSS-26.
