Illegal water connections became the bone of contention between residents of Hallomajra village and Deep Complex. Protests were held over some residents of Deep Complex trying to take illegal water connections.

Deep Complex is not a notified area and facilities like water and sewerage connections are not provided. The residents of the area, however, dug up some portion of the land in order to lay pipelines to get water. This led to protests in Hallomajra where residents stated that the water supply in the village will be affected due to the illegal connection.

Arguments ensued between the two parties. Area councillor Jannat Jahan was also involved in the arguments. She stated if illegal water connections were to be disconnected, then it should be done in all the houses of Deep Complex. She alleged that some Congress workers had also taken illegal connections.

Deep Complex received water through tankers sent by the Municipal Corporation,as regular water connection is not provided. The residents of Hallomajra alleged that the people trying to take illegal connections had the backing of the area councillor. However,Jahan refuted the allegation.

Raghuvir Singh, the Investigating Officer from Sector-31 Police Station, said a fight had broken out between residents of the two areas. However,an understanding was achieved later.

Recently, the issue of Deep Complex was taken up by the area councillor during the public hearing session of the UT Administrator. He had directed that basic amenities be provided to the area residents. The issue had also been taken up in the meetings of the general House where it was agreed that some facilities would be extended to the residents. However,no action has been taken on the issue.
