PUSU questions decision to reduce media school seats

One of the student outfits on the Panjab University (PU) campus — the Panjab University Students Union (PUSU) — on Thursday submitted a memorandum to the Vice-Chancellor Prof Arun Kumar Grover,questioning the decision of the authorities to reduce seats in the School of Communication Study and to close the department of Guru Grant Sahib Studies.

The members held that in the Mass Communication Department the seats have been reduced to 31 from 51,and in MPhil Punjabi,the seats have been reduced to 20 from 25.

The party has requested the authorities that as the students are facing problems regarding admissions,the number of seats should be increased.
