Punjab: Truck hits bus, four injured near Barwala

The victims were rushed to Raipur Rani health centre, from where they were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32, Chandigarh.

Four persons were injured in a road accident after their bus was hit by a truck at Mouli T-point near Barwala on Tuesday. The accident took place when the Haryana Roadways bus was going from Panchkula towards Naraingarh. Around 7 pm, a truck coming from the opposite site, from Barwala towards Dera Bassi, hit the bus. The bus driver, conductor, one woman passenger and the truck driver suffered injuries.

A 38-year-old man was killed and his friend was injured when their bike was hit by a truck from rear on Landran-Banur road near SUS College on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Rajbir Singh, a resident on Sonipat in Haryana. His friend, Narinder, was taken to the civil hospital in Zirakpur. A case of negligence was registered against unknown truck driver.
