Even though the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has not announced it first list of candidates, senior leader and Supreme Court advocate HS Phoolka has taken a property on rent for his new office at Mullanpur. Sources from AAP confirmed that Phoolka’s name has been finalised for Dakha constituency and he is expected to hold a road show from Ludhiana to Mullanpur once his name is officially declared.

A source from the party said, “The new office of Phoolka ji has been finalised right opposite the Mullanpur bus stand. The location has been chosen keeping in mind that most people in this area travel in buses.” Asked about his plans, Phoolka said, “ I will announce the detailed plans once the ticket is formally announced. Yes, there are plans to inaugurate a new office in Mullanpur and a road show to connect with the people.”

Phoolka was in the limelight in the Dakha constituency in 2014 Lok Sabha polls when he defeated local SAD MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali. Although the Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat was won by Congress’ Ravneet Singh Bittu, Phoolka bagged more votes than Ayali.
Influenced by his 2014 performance, AAP is banking on him to defeat Ayali in the upcoming assembly polls.
