Panjab Univeristy (PU) issued the guidelines including details of the traffic route plans for the students slated to appear in the PU-Common Entrance Test (CET) for under-graduates, on May 23 on Thursday. As many as 43 centers have been set up to conduct the entrance examination, and around 15 thousand candidates will appear for the examination. PU Controller of Examinations, Professor Parvinder Singh held a meeting with the officials involved in conducting the examination and reviewed the preparations.
As per the traffic route plan, students appearing for CET-UG entrance test at centre number-Chandigarh 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 14 should enter the campus from the PU Gate No-1 facing PGI. While, students appearing at examination centres Chandigarh 7, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15 should enter the campus from the PU Gate No-2 in Sector 15.
Students appearing at centres Chandigarh 8 and 9 should enter the campus from the PU Gate No-3, which is next to South Campus, Sector-25. One of the Examination centre-Chandigarh 16 was set up in UIAMS building, Sector 25. Other 27 Centres have been setup in various colleges of the Chandigarh City, which are outside the campus, said the PU Spokesperson. As per the instructions, students are required to reach their respective test centers atleast half an hour before the start of the test. No candidate will be allowed inside the examination hall, 15 minutes after the start of the test, and candidates need to bring their admit cards along. The use of calculators will not be allowed.
