Psychotropic drugs found in illegally operating store

The police on Thursday recovered a huge cache of psychotropic drugs from a medical store its license was recently cancelled by the state health department on the Moga-Mehna road.

The police on Thursday recovered a huge cache of psychotropic drugs from a medical store — its license was recently cancelled by the state health department — on the Moga-Mehna road. The owner of the Goyal Medical Store,along with two others,was also arrested. Claiming the operation to be a success,Moga SSP Surjit Singh Grewal said that with the arrest of the store owner,the Moga police has been able to break the backbone this illegal trade. The arrested included owner Krishan Kumar Kala and two youth,who claimed to have been working as attendants at the store.
