Jaspal Bhatti has announced power cut in Punjab,the title of his new comedy feature film.

THE Ulta-Pulta man,and king of satire is back to doing what he does best. Taking yet another potshot at the government; writer,director and actor Jaspal Bhatti has announced a power cut in Punjab. Well,not officially — this is the title of his new comedy feature film titled Power Cut,for which he has roped in actor Prem Chopra as “Power Minister” and Rajesh Puri as “Chief Managing Director” of the on-screen power corporation.

After the success of Mahaul Theek Hai,which was a spoof on the police department,Power Cut,promises Bhatti,“will be another electrifying comedy.” It will also have a high voltage love story of youngsters set against the power politics of India,” says Bhatti. While the protagonist of the film is being played by Zafar,a student of Mad Arts Jaspal Bhatti Film School,the lead actress is Surilie Gautam along with Bhatti himself.

The shooting of the film will be held in Chandigarh,Machhiwara and Dharamsala. Produced by Pavel Jit Singh,the film’s been written by Bhatti as well.
