Police,Air Force join hands on road safety

In a bid to ensure religious following of road safety rules and regulations on city roads,Chandigarh Police has joined hands with Indian Air Force.

In a bid to ensure religious following of road safety rules and regulations on city roads,Chandigarh Police has joined hands with Indian Air Force. Police organised a road safety exhibition and workshop at 12 Wing Air Force station in Chandigarh on Wednesday evening to disseminate knowledge over this issue. Police said they had collaborated with IAF officials who would also act as ambassadors of road safety in the city. Besides,traffic cops had briefed the IAF drivers about various traffic rules. Senior police officers,including DIG Alok Kumar and traffic marshals took part in the workshop.

Pits endangering lives: Shopkeepers

Chandigarh: The Market Welfare Association,Sector 36,has expressed concern over the digging up of pits in various places at the market by BSNL. At a meeting held on Thursday,president of the association Kamal Gupta said the pits were putting the life of people in danger as these were not covered.
