Patil speaks on Mahavir Jayanti

Scores of pilgrims came to Rajasthan Bhavan at Sector 33 for a programme organised by Shri Jain Shwetambar Terapanthi Sabha,Chandigarh to celebrate Mahavir Jayanti. The function was held to celebrate the 2612th birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir. Munishree Vinaykumar was also present and said that the principles are more relevant in today’s world as they are needed to curb the problems prevalent in society.

Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Shivraj V Patil shared his views about the principles of Lord Mahavir. “Lord Mahavir always believed in listening to the views of everyone and it is the best example of democracy which is prevalent in our country now,” addressed the governor. He further added that the responsibility of making a better society is not only on the shoulders of the government but also on the people who are living in it.
