Hosts Patiala scripted an easy victory over Jalandhar when they bowled the visiting team for 348 runs in their second innings to win by 153 runs in the Dhruv Pandove Trophy (U-19) tournament,on Monday. With this outright victory,patiala has garnered six points.

Resuming from their overnight score of 162 for 3,Jalandhar were bowled out for 348 and fell short of the target by 153 runs. Despite some fruitful partnerships-of 72 runs between M Maria (27) and S Singh (84) and then 55 runs between S Singh and K Kahlon (21)- Jalandhar were never in the game as Patiala bowlers struck at regular intervals. S Singh and S Kumar grabbed three wickets each while GS Sethi took two wickets for the Patiala team.

Amritsar won on the basis of first innings lead after their match with Mohali ended in a tie as the fourth day’s play was washed out,at YPS School in Mohali. Amristar won three points while Mohali pocketed one. In their second innings,Mohali made 100 for 4 in 36 overs. Kinderpreet Singh (33) and Abhijit Garg (28) were the main run-getters for Mohali. Rohit Kumar took two wickets for Amritsar.
