Members of the Property Owners Welfare Association (POWA),Chandigarh, pledge their support only to that political party, that fulfills our demands of legalising floor-wise sale of properties, allows extra floor in booths and repeals the obsolete Rent Control Act, said General Secretary of the association R P Malhotra, during a press conference held in Industrial Area,Phase 2,here on Saturday. POWA had succeeded in getting apartment rules for Chandigarh implemented in 2002 that allowed floor-wise sale of distinctly identifiable apartment of specific size. These rules were, later, repealed and no approval to such plans was accorded thereafter. Now,all political parties are out to woo voters with different promises on their agenda, added Malhotra. He further said that all the members of the association have decided to support only that political party in the coming elections that will help fulfill their demands.
