Panchkula resident found dead

Chandigarh Police received a call from the owner of the land about the body at 9.45 am Tuesday.

A resident of Panchkula was found murdered at an agricultural land in Kaimbwala village on Tuesday morning. The accused or the motive behind the alleged murder has not been identified yet.

The Chandigarh Police received a call from the owner of the land about the body at 9.45 am Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Inder Kumar. The police suspect that Kumar (34) was murdered after being hit by a heavy object on the head and that the murder took place in the intervening night of October 14/15.

The body was taken to Government Multi Specialty Hospital,Sector 16 for post mortem examination. According to the police,Kumar was an auto mechanic and used to reside with his mother and sister. A case of murder under Section 302 of the IPC has been registered at Sector 3 police station.
