The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR),Chandigarh,is going to organise its first Alumni Meet on February 17 at S S Bhatnagar Auditorium. Dr L N Mittal,Director of Quality Improvement Program,Geeta Institute of Management and Technology,Kanipla,Kurukshetra – the oldest alumni will be honoured as chief guest.
Director of the Institute K M Rastogi informed,National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in 1967 in realisation of the need for training better quality technicians to meet the large-scale industrialisation of the country.
Since the past few years,we have been catering to the requirements of updating and upgrading technical teachers in the northern region covering the states of Jammu and Kashmir,Himachal Pradesh,Punjab,Haryana,Rajasthan,Uttar Pradesh,Uttrakhand,Delhi and Union Territory of Chandigarh via short term and long term courses in various subjects.
Nearly 100 alumni of the institute,currently working as academicians across different parts of the country,will gather for
the alumni meet.
