Motorbike with 3 drunk riders falls into ditch

Three persons in an inebriated condition were injured after the motorcycle they were riding fell into a deep ditch near Kalibari Mandir,Sector 31,Tuesday night.

Three persons in an inebriated condition were injured after the motorcycle they were riding fell into a deep ditch near Kalibari Mandir,Sector 31,Tuesday night. The three Chand (21),Deepak (21) and Subhash (25) were taken out by a passerby who meanwhile informed the police.

According to Subhash,one of the injured,the three were returning to Ramdarbar and Chand,who was driving the motorcycle,started driving on the wrong side to avoid a U-turn. The three were drunk and Chand did not see a pot hole in the road. Their motorcycle got stuck in the pot hole and the three fell inside a ditch near the Kalibari Mandir.

For about half an hour the three remained in the ditch,injured,when a few persons on passing from the road noticed them and got them out. The police was informed and the three were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH),Sector 32.

Chand told the doctors he did not want treatment and managed to escape from the hospital,and Deepak and Subhash also left without informing the doctors. According to the GMCH-32 doctors,the three had sustained injuries on their head and limbs.

Subhash and Deepak reportedly work as sweepers for the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation and also work as disco-jockeys for small parties. The three were returning from a party on Tuesday night when the incident happened.
