Mission smart city: UT to hold first citizen interaction camp today in Chandigarh

The administration has prepared a 13-day schedule to cover all the 26 wards of the Municipal Corporation.

The UT Administration will hold its first smart city ward consultation-cum-grievance redressal camp on September 17 at the Sector 46 community centre. In the second round of the smart city mission for which Chandigarh has already qualified, the primary condition is citizen consultation and to invite suggestions/ideas from all age groups through various traditional/modern modes of media such as Facebook, email, website, mobile app, and through consultation camps.

The administration has prepared a 13-day schedule to cover all the 26 wards of the Municipal Corporation. The camps will be held by the SDM-cum-additional commissioner concerned along with the area councillors.

Thursday’s camp will be held for wards 21 and 23, which will cover areas of sectors 32 and 46, Ramdarbar Phase II, Indira Awas Colony, Hallomajra, Bair Majra, Faidan, Burail and Char-Taraf-Burail. The camp will be held at 11.30 am.

All the residents of these areas and members of the Resident Welfare Associations have been invited to participate.

People may submit the problems related to their wards as well as solutions for the same.
