Officials of the Municipal Corporation along with the area councillor inspected the ongoing work at Dadumajra Colony on Tuesday. The officials were directed to start upgradation work of the sports stadium in the area.

Municipal Commissioner Vivek Pratap Singh and area councillor Sat Prakash Aggarwal were present during the inspection.

The internal roads of the colony were checked. Officials were asked to carpet all the roads of the village and the phirni road in Dadumajra village and colony.

The roads in most parts of the city, including this area, are full of potholes after the monsoons.

Another problem that was being encountered in Dadumajra was that the sewerage and water pipelines were passing under the houses. Residents asked for these to be shifted out.

The pipelines,in fact, were earlier located outside the boundary of the houses. However, residents of the area, over the years, have encroached upon the area and due to the additional construction, the pipelines have now ended up now within the houses.

A similar problem is being encountered in many colonies and villages. There have been instances when the staff of MC has been refused access by the residents when a need arose to repair these pipelines.

It has been decided that estimates for shifting the sewerage and water lines from inside the houses to the street would be prepared.
