Law students protest delay declaration of results

Students from the Department of Law,Panjab University held a protest outside the department at about 10.30 am against the delay in the previous semester examination results.

Students from the Department of Law,Panjab University (PU) today held a protest outside the department at about 10.30 am against the delay in the previous semester examination results.

While the datesheet for current semester examinations has already been released,the results of Semester I,III and V examinations,held in December last year,is yet to be declared,said one of the students. Following a demonstration for over two hours by the students,Dean Student Welfare (DSW) A S Ahluwalia reached the spot and assured the students that the result will be declared by evening. The result was declared later in the evening,. The examinations for Semester II,IV and VI will begin from April 25.

A student from the department,Loveleen Thakur,also a representative of Students’ Federation of India,said,“In case a students gets compartment,he has to appear in the supplementary examinations simultaneously with the next semester examinations. This undue delay in the results leads to a lot of difficulty in preparation.”
