Kings XI Punjab to introduce team to city fans today

The players led by skipper Adam Gilchrist will also take part in a charity match with oprhan kids.

With less than a fortnight left in their opening match at their home stadium,PCA Stadium,Mohali,Kings XI Punjab will officially kickoff their campaign of introducing the team to the city fans and cricket players in a function at PCA Stadium on Monday.

The players led by skipper Adam Gilchrist will also take part in a charity match with oprhan kids. “A lot of these kids have not seen cricket grounds in their life. We would be making some of the best international players like Adam Gilchrist play with some of the kids and as a player,they understand their social responsibility towards the society. Adam has been to Chandigarh a lot of times and he understands the city better,” shared the official. The match will also mark the start to the franchise’s much-hyped campaign for the fifth season of the IPL.

“A lot of new players have joined the team,it will be a big oppurtunity to get a feel of the stadium and also to see the facilities. The team will also be accompanied by Col Arvinder Singh,Chief Operating Officer,Kings XI Punjab,” said an official from the Kings XI Management.
