Led by superlative bowling performance from spinner Karan Kaila (8 for 50) in the second innings,Patiala recorded a facile 10-wicket win over Mohali in a match played during the ongoing Punjab Inter-District cricket tournament played for Dhruv Pandove Trophy in Patiala. Mohali were bowled out for 153 runs in 57.2 overs after being bundled out for 131 runs in the first innings in reply to Patiala’s first innings total of 261 runs. With this win,Patiala collected seven points. Mohali started their second innings from the overnight score 35 for 3 in 16 overs. They gave a target of 23 runs to Patiala for the win. In control of the match,Patiala chased the target within no time. For Mohali,Sahil (41) and Shine Sharma (32 no) were the main scorers in the second innings.
