A class XII student at GMSSS-37,who had suffered injuries due to a fall from the goal post that gave way under his weight as he was hanging from it on Monday, was shifted from GMSH-16 to PGIMER on Tuesday.

Rupinder Singh,16,was admitted to the emergency ward where a CT scan was conducted on him to rule out head injuries. He had suffered a nose fracture which caused a swelling in his cheeks, said his father Rajinder Singh.

Doctors are waiting for the swelling to subside for the treatment to begin.

Principal Raviraj Kaur said the goal post gave way as it could not support Rupinder’s weight and that he put himself in danger by trying to hang from it.
