Chandigarh: Affected by the transporters strike at Bahadurganj, some petrol pumps of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL ) went dry on Tuesday.
However,HPCL claimed that it had made arrangements to make up for the shortage due to the strike by arranging for extra amounts. However,a petrol pump in Sector 15 and two in Sector 17 closed their gates for public as the requisitioned amount could not reach on time.
Krishan Handa,HPCL public grievance redressal officer said,Even if pumps go dry in the city, the problem will not continue beyond an hour or two. There is no need to panic.
