Rotaract’s Heartline Concert ‘09 was direct Dil Se! Setting Saturday night on fire at Leisure Valley was UK’s pop star Juggy D and city’s very own rockers ‘De Innovatives’. While the opening act was by local band ‘The Carrot Heads’,the real magic began when ‘De Innovatives’ took to the stage. From belting out their version of AR Rahman’s ‘Vande Mataram’ to rock versions of ‘Ab ke saawan’ and songs from the movie ‘Rock On!’,the guys were on a roll. Soon after them,Juggy D had the audience asking for more! The Punjabi pop sensation made the crowd dance to his numbers like ‘Sohniye’,‘Hum Tum’ and latest ones from his forthcoming album,‘Juggy D 2’ which is due for release in June this year. The concert was the third in its series organised by the Rotaract Club of Chandigarh. The Heartline Concert is held to raise funds for open heart surgeries for children from the economically weaker sections. The Club, together with PGI and Fortis has been running the Rotary Heartline Project since 1999. In fact,Juggy too donated Rs 50,000 for the cause. Meanwhile, the ‘rockstar’ is all set to shift base to Mumbai in October this year. “There are a couple of Bollywood projects, and work is increasing here,so I am planning to stay here at least six months in a year,” he shares. While his track ‘Wanga’ from the album ‘Sick and Twisted’ will hit the channels in a week, the singer is also looking forward to making a film on the “struggles of a singer.” Here’s wishing him the the best!
