HC nod to Agnivesh to go abroad

High Court grants permission to Swami Agnivesh to go abroad.

In a relief for Swami Agnivesh,the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Friday granted him permission to go abroad. Last week,the court had issued notices to the Haryana government to respond to a request made by Agnivesh to visit Malaysia and Vienna to attend an international conference.

An FIR was registered against Agnivesh for hurting religious sentiments and a case under Section 295A of the IPC registered on May 23,2011,in Hansi sub-division for calling Amarnath Yatra a religious deception.

During his trip to Jammu in May,last year,Agnivesh had said: “It is a religious deception. I do not believe in this type of religion.”
