Within 17 days of its launch by the Haryana government, the usage and effect of Harpath App has been commendable. The app was launched by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on September 15. Through this app, people can provide information to the government about the condition of roads. After receiving the information, the government would ensure that the roads have been repaired and obstacles have been removed for smooth flow of traffic at the earliest.
While giving this information a government spokesperson said that positive responses have been received from the public and the government departments regarding the ‘Harpath’ App. The department is closely monitoring the road-related complaints lodged by the citizens & their resolution by the departments through the app. Departments have been diligent in not only trying to resolve complaints but also prevent complaints by proactively fixing potholes.
Haryana Urban Development Authority has started repairing potholes in the city proactively, without waiting for complaints via Harpath. Till now 1250 people have downloaded the app and 1684 have been registered. Around 567 complaints have been acknowledged by the departments after inspection and 196 complaints resolved. The government has assured to resolve the problems within 30 days after a complaint has being lodged.
