Eleven city students selected for national talent search exam

Out of the 2,500 students that appeared for the State Talent Search Examination,eleven students from city schools have been selected for the National-level examination.

Out of the 2,500 students that appeared for the State Talent Search Examination (STSE),eleven students from city schools have been selected for the National-level examination.

The examination was conducted by the State Institute of Education (SIE),Sector 32 on November 20,2011. Tapsee,a student of Carmel Convent School in Sector 9,was declared the topper among the eleven shortlisted students. Namrata Singh from Sacred Heart School,Sector 26 secured second position. The third position was secured by Siraj Sandhu from St John’s High school Sector 26. Priyanka from Carmel Convent School stood fourth while Tejas Nagpal of St Kabir High school,Sector 26 bagged the fifth position.

The students will now appear in the National Talent Search Examination which will be conducted by NCERT. Those students who clear the National Talent Search Examination will receive a sum of Rs 500 per month upto PhD level.
