In other vocational streams including those of electrical technology, ophthalmic technology, medical laboratory technology, health and beauty studies,X-ray technologies, bakery and confectionary, travel and tourism, accountancy and taxation, fashion designing and garment technology the highest cut-offs are a CGP of 7.80,8.20,9.00,9.00,8.80,7.00,7.60,9.40 and 9.20 respectively while the lowest CGPAs,for all these streams, that the department considered for admissions are 4.00,4.20,4.40,4.20,4.40,4.60 and 4.00 respectively.
The common merit list has been prepared in the order of CGPA and on the basis of first preference given by the candidates, before a tie break.
Tie points will be settled at the time of allotment of school and stream, read the instructions put on the education departments official website.
Clarifying the admission process, the officials of the department held that for example,if a candidate has given first preference for the science stream, second for commerce and third for vocational,his/ her name in the stream-wise list has been included in the first preference list of the science stream.
However, the actual position may change at the time of allotment of school and stream. However,no inference should be drawn from the list as the actual position may change at the time of allotment of school and stream.
In case in the stream wise merit list, the name of the candidate has been included in the list of science or commerce stream on the basis of first preference,it does not indicate or guarantee that the seat will be allotted under the same stream at the time of final allotment.
Moreover, students can register their complaints at the Grievances Redressal Cell.
In case there is any objection it must be intimated to the cell latest by June 29 up to 1 pm. As many as 21 candidates have been found ineligible for admissions.
Last year, the highest cut-off in the science stream was 9.6 CGPA,in the commerce stream was 9.00 and humanities was a CGPA of 7.4.
