Reacting to state Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh asking him to rein in police officers who are allegedly targeting Congress workers,Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday cautioned Amarinder and asked him to desist from the old habit of raising the bogey of false cases against party leaders.

Challenging Amarinder to bring to his notice any such single case,Badal said his government never believed in politics of political vendetta. “You had been levelling allegations that 50,000 false cases have been registered against Congress leaders during the last five years and twice on the floor of the House,I have rejected your allegations and challenged to produce any single case. But you have failed to do that. Your propaganda have been rejected by the people of Punjab as the intelligent electorate have seen through the hollowness of your allegations,” said Badal.
