Even as police provided the list of documents to the Doon MLA from Himachal Pradesh,Ram Kumar Chaudhary, who has been charged with the murder of 24-year old Hoshiarpur girl,Jyoti Kumari, the MLA’s defence counsel on Wednesday pleaded before the court that the documents were still incomplete. Chief Judicial Magistrate,Bhawna Jain, has reserved the case for orders on Thursday.

Counsel for the accused,Amandeep Bindra, said that the documents that were submitted to Chaudhary were incomplete. “We were not provided the details of tower locations of the MLA’s phone and that of the deceased girl,Jyoti Kumari. Police have been claiming that the MLA’s cell phone was also in the same area where the girl was found murdered,” said Bindra. He also added that the police also did not provide the compact disc (CD) in which the details of the calls made by the MLA’s wife to her uncle have been stored, claiming that she was trying to influence the family of Jyoti to withdraw the case. “We have raised objections to this,” he said.

Among the list of documents that have been submitted is included the details of the call transcripts of the wife of the MLA as well as the post-mortem report of the deceased girl in the case. The medical examination report that has been attached with the documents points out that the death would have taken place due to assault and running of tyres over the body of the deceased girl.
