Former minister and chairman of the Himachal Congress committee to frame a “corruption chargesheet” against the BJP government, claimed on Saturday that Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal may go for early polls in the state,as corruption allegations against a sitting minister and other leaders are getting louder.

Speaking to mediapersons at Kangra,Bali said it was quite strange that Dhumal and the BJP high command has chosen keep mum over corruption allegations and land deals of cabinet ministers. He named health minister Rajeev Bindal in this connection.

“After revelations of Mohinder Sofat, who was earlier in the BJP and now the spokesman of the Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP),there are strong grounds for a CBI probe into the charges. If BJP does not act,the Congress, when it will return to power, will get the charges inquired by the CBI,” said Bali.

He added: “There are a lot of similarities in the evidence that the PCC committee on corruption has collected and what Sofat has told the media. I will appeal to HLP to handover the documents to the committee.”

He said that Congress chargesheet will be released during the budget session.
