Most of the city-based schools are busy updating their school websites, including the inputs they were asked to put in by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Board by September 15,failing which the students will not be allowed to take the board examinations.

The information that the schools are required to provide on their web portal includes affiliation status, infrastructure details, names and designations of the teachers,class-wise enrolment of the students,address-postal and e-mail details, and contact details of the school managing committee with the performa enclosed.

All the schools have to prepare their annual reports containing the above information and have to upload the same by September 15.

The CBSE regional officer,Panchkula,R J Khanderao said,“CBSE took this initiative to make the admission process transparent. It would prove to be of great help to the parents since they will be updated and well-informed about the activities and various announcements in the schools.”

“Every parent will have a fair idea about the management and the infrastructure provided to their ward in the school,” he added.

Principal,Ryan International School,Poonam Sharma said,“Our school is activity-oriented,so we have lots of things to upload on the website, apart from details asked for by the board. We are already working on our website and it will be ready before the deadline.”

“As per the circulars sent by the CBSE,we have to update our websites with the complete information by September 15 or else the board will not give the registrations to the students for Class XI. We have already added all the required information to our website,” said Jaskiran Harika, principal,DAV School,Sector 8.

Madhu Behl, principal,KBDAV School,Sector 7 said,“We are still working on the website. The inputs required by the board will be uploaded soon.”
